Tracey Petersen and Judith Miller weave a funny, romantic and suspenseful story of trust and faith in To Have and To Hold. Audrey Cunningham reluctantly leaves her life Pittsburgh to return to her father’s ancestral home on Bridal Veil Island. Audrey is hopeful that this majestic and solitary place will keep her father sober drawing him closer to God. This hope is soon challenged when Audrey learns that wealthy investors are buying up the island to build a grand resort. Audrey’s childhood home is the only remaining land needed to complete this project.
Contractor Marshall Graham arrives at Bridal Veil at Boyd Cunningham’s request. An opportunity opens up for Marshall to oversee the building of the grand resort. However, Marshall is uncertain he can put his dreams on hold when Boyd asks him to look after Audrey – especially since she appears to strongly dislike him.
This is my first time reading a Tracey Petersen book. The characters are vivid, the story lines intriguing and the plot suspenseful. You will find yourself thoroughly engaged in this adventure from beginning to end.
